Armin is a native of Germany who has spent the majority of his life working dogs in the civilian and law enforcement fields since the mid 1970s. He operated his own K9 security business in Canada. Armin has conducted countless K9 seminars world wide working thousands of dogs in the process.

He is a published author who has written and published K9 training articles all over the world.

Armin operates Rivanna K9 Services in Virginia where he provides training services as an Applied Animal Behavioral Scientist to his clients.

Armin is a certified law enforcement instructor through the Justice Institute of British Columbia and the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. He provides in depth training programs to SOF military K9 units as well as LE agencies. He has advised and consulted with All US Tier 1 SOF units, as well as many SOF units across the globe. Armin was the headline instructor at the 2018 and 2019 SOF K9 Conference in Warsaw, Poland.

His reputation as an innovator in modern training concepts that have led to proven deployment results at the highest level make him a sought-after instructor.

DECOYING FUNDAMENTALS

Learn the fundamentals of being an effective decoy. The skills you will learn during this one day course will assist you in building better K9s. Learn how to properly catch dogs in a variety of locations on the body. These techniques will ensure the safety of the dogs and you as the decoy as well as building the dogs targeting skills and bite development. You will also learn how to read the dog as it engages. These skills are instrumental in training any patrol dog.
