K9 Gunfire neutralization/ problem solving (2 DAY COURSE)

Mike Pennington is the C.E.O. and founder of Storm Dog Tactical, a disabled Law Enforcement owned company located in Sunbury, Ohio. Mike was a deputy with the Franklin County Ohio Sheriff's Office  He handled a K9 for patrol division and eventually as SWAT handler for 13 years. Mike retired from Law Enforcement and founded Storm Dog Tactical. By training dogs, he continues to support the mission of public service and his passion of working with dogs.  

K9 GUNFIRE NEUTRALIZATION/ PROBLEM SOLVING/ K9 CONTROL IN DRIVE

This two-day course is for those K9 teams wanting to improve their dog’s performance with gunfire neutralization and flashbangs. This course also has heavy focus on K9 Control in Drive, minimizing conflict, when high level distractions are present. We will break the gunfire puzzle down into its training pieces for 100% neutralization and sustainment training. We do not utilize a system style of training. Each K9 team will be evaluated independently, and training will be conducted specifically for that team's current skill set.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

-All duty gear

-Appropriate clothing for working and weather conditions

-Eye/ Ear Protection

-Patrol Rifle*

-Food and water

-K9 treats and toy rewards

-All K9 equipment including collars, E-Collars, harness, lead, long line, bite suit* and bite sleeve*

*Annotates equipment that recommended but not required.
