HIGH-RISK VEHICLE DEPLOYMENTS & K9 TACTICS
High-risk vehicle stops are one of the most volatile and dangerous deployments a canine handler can face. The suspect has a tactical advantage lying in wait with a 360 degree view, elevation, tinted windows, all while remaining concealed. The canine handler is responsible for effectively clearing the vehicle with the use of their canine making it safer for patrol officers to approach.
Canine teams will learn skills on how to tactically conduct a vehicle assault, entry techniques, canine deployment strategies, less-lethal munitions, arrest team procedures, and more. This class will prepare every canine team with tactical measures that involve high-risk vehicle stops.
