BITE MECHANICS AND DEVELOPMENT

Ben Rader - Rader K9

Ben Rader is a 21-year Veteran of the U.S. Army and the owner of Rader K9. Mr Rader gained much of his operational experience conducting operations in the Middle East during the Global War on Terror (GWOT) for a U.S. Army Special Operations Forces Commander's In-Extremis (CIF) Company and later as a Multi-Purpose Canine Handler/Trainer. Afterwards, Mr Rader served as the Kennel Master/Detachment Operations Sergeant for his Group.

Matt Foster - Kingdom K9

Matt Foster is a 4-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps and is in his 9th year as a law enforcement officer. He is also the owner of Kingdom K-9 where he produces canine training equipment and trains pets and working dogs. Matt served as a Marine Corps IED detection K9 handler deploying to Afghanistan during the GWOT. Transitioning into law enforcement , Matt worked as a dual-purpose SWAT and bomb dog handler and is still serving as a SWAT operator, explosives breacher, and K9 decoy and trainer. 


BITE MECHANICS & DEVELOPMENT

This course focuses on aspects of canine bite mechanics and development of a well balanced bite. Students will learn the anatomy of the dog's jaw and teeth with focus on the bite., evaluating the bite through muscle structure and post bite analysis, along with methods to promote a balanced bite. 


REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

-Serviceable canine harness

-Bite suit

-tugs and/or pillows
