BRIDGING DETECTION TRAINING W/ BUILDING SEARCH
This course is built for handlers who want to enhance their K9’s operational performance in both detection deployments and suspect apprehension scenarios. Students will learn how to effectively bridge the gap between detection search work and building search applications—improving their dog’s ability to transition seamlessly between odor recognition, movement, and engagement.
Handlers will gain a deeper understanding of how solid detection fundamentals directly support advanced building search techniques. The training emphasizes control, focus, and commitment to command, ensuring each dog can work independently, stay out front, and maintain productive search behavior without excessive handler input.
By the end of the course, teams will demonstrate improved operational clarity, stronger search patterns, and enhanced deployment readiness for real world building search operations.
